Body care is the new face care: Love the skin you’re in

The days of striving for a perfect complexion are over. The last few years have celebrated self-love, embracing our natural beauty and, taking care of our bodies has become the new trend. Gone are the days of comparing ourselves to others, obsessing over our flaws, and hiding behind makeup. Instead, we’re encouraged to learn to love the skin we’re in and take care of our bodies inside and out. 

Local skincare brand Clere has been spreading this message for over six decades now. Additionally, body care can help people look and feel younger, as well as improve self-confidence. “It’s great to hear that there is a growing emphasis on body care, and that people are realising the importance of loving and caring for their bodies. Just like the skin on our face, the skin on our bodies also needs attention and care.”

Annandale shares some tips for taking care of your body and skin:

Moisturise: Just like the skin on your face, the skin on your body can become dry, especially during the winter months. Using a moisturiser daily will help keep your skin hydrated and soft.  Clere’s crèmes and lotions will keep your skin hydrated. Eat a healthy diet: Eating a healthy and balanced diet can help nourish your skin from the inside out. Make sure to include plenty of fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats in your diet.

Hydrate: Drinking plenty of water is important for keeping your skin hydrated and healthy.

Exercise: Regular exercise can help improve circulation, which can help keep your skin looking healthy and vibrant.
